Credit Balance Representative

Position Information:

The Credit Balance Representative is responsible for the resolution of credit balance accounts by processing refunds for insurance plan and patient overpayments, in addition to applying needed payment transfers, charge corrections or adjustments. Maintains insurance knowledge, including but not limited to, coordination of benefits and claims processing. Keep current on all insurance contracts to ensure accuracy. Complies with all state refund statues and meets productivity standards. Above all, this position serves to exceed the expectations of patients and all clients we serve.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in College; Medical related course is preferred

• Should have a strong background or experience in Claims Processing, Payment Posting and/or Accounts Receivable

• Accounting experience preferred

• Must be able to prioritize and work independently

• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

• Excel, eCW/SequelMed/Allscripts experience preferred
