HR - Engagement Specialist

As an Engagement Specialist, you will help champion an outstanding company culture and be the main point of contact for employee engagement and retention activities in facilitating employee integration and connection. This position is responsible for assessing organizational culture and employee happiness; reporting assessment findings; proposing data driven activities to improve organizational culture; coordinating communication to employees and managers; and developing programming to improve the workplace environment and strengthen employee performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for event planning and facilitating employee engagement activities that create a positive workplace experience, including but not limited to maintaining the event calendar, facilitating with companywide events, administering the rewards and recognition program, service celebrations, appreciation events, holiday parties, volunteer activities, etc.
  • Consults with HR Manager for employee engagement strategies and needs.
  • Achieves key performance indicator (KPIs) targets to ensure employee engagement programs meet or exceed set goals. Makes recommendations for improvements to refine and evolve existing employee engagement strategies. Tracks the effectiveness and impact of engagement and provides reports to management.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of various programs (e.g., Rewards and Recognition, training programs, learning platforms and post-training retention.
  • Designs and implements needs analysis planning efforts; interprets data from needs analysis in order to make recommendations for changes in processes and offerings.
  • Designs, plans, coordinates and participates in the development and delivery of mandatory and professional training course offerings and modifies existing offerings to improve alignment with organizational and talent needs.
  • Continually reviews and updates course offerings to ensure current relevancy and quality.
  • Designs, updates and conducts onboarding processes for newly hired employees.
  • Works with managers and other employees to design, plan, coordinate and implement employee and team effectiveness strategies.
  • Consults with departments to develop programs and provide information designed to enhance employee engagement, team building foundations and cultural change initiatives.
  • Designs processes and programs to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • May be required to work alternate hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
  • Participate in employee focus groups
  • Other tasks that may be deemed necessary

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of HR experience, program management
  • 2+ years of event planning experience
  • A passion for people and employee experience
  • Ability to handle confidential information and build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Enthusiastic learner and able to prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite is a plus
  • Strong organizational, analytical and management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership & ability to motivate & energize teams. Strong results orientation & track record of meeting targets and delivering on targets.
  • Strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills, proficient in MS office applications.
  • Willing to work in Night Shift
